23G horizontal micro scissors, curved shaft MST®

Our newest micro-scissor technology, the Hoffman/ Ahmed Horizontal Curved Scissors feature a curved shaft with straight blade. Surgeons have used this instrument to cut through a fibrotic capsule, enlarge a capsulorhexis that is too small, rescue a capsulorhexis that has started to run posterior, and more. Proving that small instruments can offer big benefits, we proudly offer the Hoffman/ Ahmed Horizontal Scissors.  The Hoffman/ Ahmed Horizontal Scissors were designed by Rich Hoffman MD. and Ike Ahmed MD.  Our smallest scissors have a coaxial design, which limits the action of the instrument to the distal end and eliminates the need for a hinge in our design.
